Step-by-Step Reinstatement Process

The process is typically completed online or via email submission to the CIPC.

1. Gather Required Documentation

Completed Form CoR40.5, certified ID copies of the applicant, proof of business activity (e.g., bank statements), and a mandate letter.

2. Submit the Application

We pay the R200 CIPC fee and submit all documents. CIPC reviews and changes the company status to 'deregistration process'.

3. File Outstanding Returns

All overdue annual returns must be filed with penalties paid, and the latest Beneficial Ownership Declaration must be submitted.

Crucial Note

If the outstanding annual returns are not filed after reinstatement is processed, the company will be referred for final deregistration again within a short period (e.g., 30 business days). It is essential to complete all steps.
